Mark Caldwell was the former CEO of Python Safety, Inc., the leading manufacturer of Fall Protection for Tools that make work environments safer and more productive. In 2015, Python Safety was acquired by Capital Safety, Inc. while Capital Safety was being acquired by 3M. Mark served as Director of the Fall Protection for Tools business unit within the 3M Fall Protection Business Group at 3M until 2017. During his time as CEO of Python Safety, Mark drove Python Safety’s strategic vision and direction. 

Prior to Python Safety, Mark co-founded Purewire, Inc. in 2007, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Purewire was an award-winning, secure web gateway provider which was acquired by Barracuda Networks in 2009. Before his time with Purewire, Mark was one of the original employees of CipherTrust, Inc. and served as Regional Vice President where he helped lead the company from the pre-revenue, pre-product, and pre-customer stage to a profitable, $60M revenue run-rate, cash flow positive organization with offices in 14 countries. CipherTrust was subsequently acquired by Secure Computing Corporation.

Mark studied at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  He is an entrepreneur and investor.  He was born in the United Kingdom.
