Ray Crim

After receiving his B.S. in Biology from Presbyterian College in 1967, Ray Crim was accepted into the master’s program at Georgia State University majoring in Protozoology. After two successful years in graduate school, Ray entered military service in 1969. In 1970-71, Ray served with the 20^th Preventative Medicine Command Unit assigned to the Mosquito Control and Research Division. This was his initial exposure to a future career in pest control.

Upon his return from Vietnam, Ray joined Tindol Services Pest Control in 1972, which grew to be one of the largest family-owned businesses in Georgia. In 1981, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President. In 1988, Tindol Services sold their stock to Waste Management Inc. and merged with the newly formed business sector, WM Urban Pest Management. Here, he was promoted to District Operations Manager, S.E. District where he oversaw 17 offices and $21 million in annual revenue. That same year, Ray was elected President of the Georgia Pest Control Association, the nation’s 4^th largest pest control association.

In January of 1991, Ray accepted and started a position with Arrow Exterminators as Director of Corporate Development. In this new role Ray oversaw acquisitions, financial management, and the growth and expansion of Arrow’s footprint. His time spent at Arrow was one of the most rewarding of his career. Arrow Exterminators, a small family-owned business has grown to be the 2^nd largest independently owned pest control company in the country.

In 1996, Ray received the Crown Leadership Award (PCT-National Magazine) which recognizes the top ten industry leaders for the Pest Control Industry. After a series of promotions, in 2005, Ray became Senior Executive V-P for Arrow. In 2010, he received the GPCA-Pioneer Award honoring lifetime contributions he had made to the industry. In 2013, Ray was inducted into the Georgia Pest Control Association’s Hall of Fame. In 2015, Ray was honored by Arrow with Emeritus status, a title which he holds today.

Ray officially retired in 2016 – after 25 years with Arrow. In 2017, Arrow honored Ray by establishing the E. Raymond Crim III Scholarship Award, which is an annual scholarship award of $5,000 to a successful candidate with preference given to individuals who have a military service background.
