Scott Evans

As the Service Delivery Director at one of Atlanta’s up and coming tech companies, Scott leads the efforts at SmartPoint.io to deliver exceptional customer experiences from contract initiation through project completion. SmartPoint’s cutting-edge edge compute technology underpins some of the largest entertainment venues across the U.S., providing critical infrastructure for next-generation compute power in AI, blockchain, and IoT applications. In this role, Scott works as the “traffic cop” between multiple stakeholders to ensure that customers achieve outstanding results, driving SmartPoint’s mission to pioneer infrastructure solutions that support tomorrow’s technological advancements.

Prior to joining SmartPoint, Scott most recently served as the Senior Technology Project Manager for Forward Forsyth, the economic development partnership for Forsyth County, GA, the fastest growing county in the State of Georgia. In this role Scott was responsible for the recruitment of commercial and industrial real estate projects, specializing in technology companies working in emerging technologies such as blockchain, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence. In an effort to establish an identity for the region that would attract these companies to Georgia, Scott began a partnership with the Georgia Department of Transportation that has led to the creation of a high-tech, “smart corridor” which serves as a test area for futuristic vehicles with safety applications that will allow the vehicle to talk with the infrastructure.

Before Forward Forsyth, Scott spent a career as a management consultant working with corporate executives helping lead major change management projects and other corporate strategic initiatives. In 2013 Scott lead a strategic change management program for a Georgia state government agency that resulted in the development of the first cloud-based, mission-critical enterprise software solution for the State of Georgia. A seasoned executive, Scott specialized in leading financial turnarounds of companies heading toward bankruptcy.
