Stacey Williams

Stacey Williams began his career with Cherokee County in 2008 as the Director of Administrative Services/CFO for the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office. While there, he managed four departments, a $35m annual budget and was able to remain fiscally responsible during poor economic years. Stacey managed contracts and purchasing for the Sheriff’s Office to include the project finances for a $4.5m Law Enforcement Training Facility. In October of 2016, he was given the opportunity to become the Administrative Services Agency Director for the Cherokee County Government Offices. In that role, Stacey provides leadership and strategic management to the Board of Commissioners, County Manager, manages seven departments and has served as Chairman of the County’s Benefits Committee four consecutive years. Prior to Cherokee County, Stacey spent 10 years managing an electrical contracting company as the Chief Operating Officer.

Stacey obtained his BA in Organizational Management Leadership and his Master of Business Administration from Reinhardt University in 2012 and 2014. He now serves on the President’s Advisory Council and is an Adjunct Professor for the McCamish School of Business at Reinhardt University. Stacey is Lean Six Sigma Green, Black, and Master Black Belt Certified and has completed the Georgia Law Enforcement Management Program at Columbus State University and the Incident Command System through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  His memberships include Rotary Club of Canton, Reinhardt President’s Advisory Council, Reinhardt Public Safety Council, Malon D. Mimms Boys and Girls Club Board, International and Georgia City/County Managers Associations, and the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce.

Stacey has been married, to his wife Debra, for 22 years. They have two amazing daughters, a wonderful son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter. He is a faithful member of The Way, The Truth, and The Life Christian Center where he serves in many different leadership roles.
