Sara E. Davis, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw State University. Davis’s research interests stem from personal experiences as an entrepreneur, direct engagement with business owners, and a desire to improve her local community. Davis’s entrepreneurial experience is in the real estate industry where she established a multi-million-dollar sales portfolio in West Virginia and Ohio. As the Marketing Director for Downtown Huntington Partners (in WV), she organized events that showcased local businesses and encouraged community involvement. Additionally, Davis has worked with start-ups in various roles including judge for Techstars Startup Weekend Powered by Google and mentor for the grand-prize winning team for Intuit’s Design for Delight Competition. Being a contributor to the local community is a key part of Davis’s identity, and she strives to continue working with local business owners seeking networking and strategic business guidance in pursuit of growth.
