Fractional CIO/CISO
Andrew is an entrepreneur and IT executive who enjoys building high-performance, scalable, and resilient infrastructures which enable business growth and superior customer experiences. He has led the IT function for companies in highly regulated industries (healthcare and financial services), working closely with all functional departments (e.g., Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, etc.) to ensure compliance with industry frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2).
As CIO, he has led successful integration efforts for numerous acquisitions, ensuring that quality and security are not compromised through the use of offshore resources. He was responsible for creating repeatable integration “playbooks” and overseeing technology/process harmonization across the enterprise. He has defined the product roadmap for the IT function, focusing on infrastructure resiliency and security. He has deployed leading-edge technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SIP telephony) enterprise-wide using agile methodologies. He has reduced infrastructure costs while simultaneously reducing attack surface without compromising infrastructure performance or user experience.
As acting CISO, he has built the cybersecurity function from scratch, creating and implementing security policies, procedures, and tools customized to the needs of the business and its customers. He has been responsible for the rollout of a “compliance template” and cybersecurity management software to track ongoing security framework compliance. As a member of the GRC committee, he has been responsible for advising executive management and the Board of Directors on emerging cyberthreats and vulnerability remediation for the enterprise.
Andrew and his wife live north of Atlanta where he is actively involved in several cybersecurity-related industry organizations, giving talks at conferences and online webinars to help educate the public on the evolving nature of global cyberthreats. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Gwinnett Tech department of Computer Information Systems, mentoring students interested in careers in IT/cybersecurity. He is also a volunteer with the Our House homeless shelter.
